ABFCU Credit Card Assistant, Part-Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
To serve members’ needs by handling credit card inquiries over the phone or in person and to process financial transactions.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit card rules and regulations
- Set up new accounts. Assign credit card numbers and order plastic cards.
- Send letter and enhancement package to new cardholders.
- Research and resolve member inquiries regarding credit card statements, disputes, and monetary adjustments.
- Process account file maintenance such as name/address changes, replacement cards, and requests to close account.
- Process payoff of other credit card accounts, including preparation of documentation for payoff.
- Close lost/stolen accounts. Monitor and document activity of lost, stolen or compromised accounts. Monitor fraudulent accounts for processing of fraud charges, fraud close-outs, possible loss charge-offs and process as appropriate. Process necessary paperwork for closed credit card accounts, blocking to prevent reissue and retrieving old credit cards when possible.
- Review all reissues and credit limit increases for credit card accounts. Monitor reissue reports for over-limit activity.
- Take calls from members and answer questions regarding account activity, billing regulations and use of credit card, and advise members on dealing with problems with merchants by verbal and/or written communication.
- Process daily and monthly credit card reports.
- Process monetary transactions to credit card accounts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Excellent oral and written communication skills and PC skills.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma. Experience in general business working environment.
