Direct Staffing Inc. is currently hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a trusted client in the Fort Smith, AR area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting a manufacturer with advanced robotics and injection molding operations.
To be considered, candidates must have 5–7 years of verifiable maintenance experience, and meet all minimum qualifications listed below.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will perform complex maintenance on plant facilities and production equipment, including robotics and injection molding machinery. The position will also support the implementation of automation systems and require strong troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and maintain robotic systems, including PLC integration, vision systems, and vision-guided robotics
- Perform complex troubleshooting, upgrades, and repairs on injection molding machines, robotics, and production-support equipment
- Conduct repairs on electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Perform in-process maintenance with minimal disruption to production
- Use welding and fabrication skills to modify or repair equipment as needed
- Mentor and supervise less experienced mechanics; inspect their work for quality and safety
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and quality procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of verifiable maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is REQUIRED
- Resume is REQUIRED for consideration
- You must complete an application with full, verifiable work history to allow for employment verification
- Must be able to read blueprints and technical schematics, and perform complex troubleshooting
- Proficient in programming and maintaining electronic programmable controllers (PLCs)
- Experience working with robotics, automation, and injection molding systems
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Education or certification in robotics is required to be considered
- Must have or be able to obtain a forklift certification within 30 days
- Must have a clean background check
- Drug test required – candidates will be disqualified if THC-positive (regardless of medical card status, due to safety-sensitive duties)
- Strong work ethic, attendance, and safety record are essential
Compensation and Schedule:
- Pay: $25 per hour or DOE
- Full-time position; shift details will be discussed during interview/screening
