About Us
Serving the youth of the Fort Smith area and surrounding communities, the Butterfield Trail District of the Natural State Council inspires young people to become responsible, confident, and community-minded adults. Through Scouting America’s time-tested programs, youth gain leadership experience, outdoor skills, teamwork, and a lifelong commitment to service and citizenship.
Our district offers age-appropriate programs for every stage of development: Cub Scouts for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade, Scouts BSA for youth ages 11–17, and Venturing, a co-ed program for young adults ages 14–20 that emphasizes adventure, leadership, and personal growth.
Together, we help youth build character, explore the outdoors, and prepare for a lifetime of ethical leadership.
