Twisted Effects Braid Studio LLC (T.E.B.S) is a female black-owned business located in Fort Smith, AR that provides quality professional braids and natural hair styles with each visit. The business was founded by, twins, Alaya and Cashalya Johnson in 2021. The recent pandemic presented opportunity for the sisters to turn their skill into their trade. The hair braiding industry is a rapidly growing market in the United States with a current market size of $800 million in sales. Hair braiding is a popular styling option for black women as it provides a variety of benefits such as protecting natural hair from damage, promoting hair growth, and low maintenance options that can last for several weeks.
